Motherland: Fort Salem
Motherland: Fort Salem centers on three witches who find themselves in the United States Army. The Freeform series will be ending after its third and final season in 2022.
Critics from Rotten Tomatoes shared, “Despite a fine cast and impressive set up, Motherland: Fort Salem’s ambitious ideas are overwhelmed by the sheer too-muchness of it all.”
The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead premiered on AMC on Halloween 2010, but the series will officially be ending in 2022. The zombie apocalypse show inspired a huge franchise with several popular spin-offs.

However, the series has not been renewed for a 10th Season, so there’s a chance that the 9th Season will be the last opportunity for fans to see James Spader as former government agent Raymond “Red” Reddington.

Showtime’s Work in Progress will officially be ending after two seasons. The series starred Abby McEnany as a lesbian working through mental health issues.
Rotten Tomatoes gave Work in Progress an 100 percent critical approval rating saying, “As radically hilarious as it is relatably uncomfortable, Work in Progress is a stunning debut from co-creator and star Abby McEnany.”
Set in a small Pennsylvania town, American Rust follows a chief of police (Jeff Daniels) who leads an investigation when the son of the woman he loves is accused of a serious crime.
After one season, American Rust was canceled by Showtime. Critics liked the cast, but thought the narrative wasn’t clear.
Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol
The Peacock series Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol will not be moving forward with a second season. The plot was a prequel to The Da Vinci Code and followed a young CIA agent solving crime after his mentor went missing.
Rotten Tomatoes gave the show a 50 percent rating and thought the writing and pace made it fall flat.
Small Fortune was an NBC game show hosted by Lil Rel Howery, but the series was not picked up for a second season.
Contestants would test their skills on miniature playing fields such as a shrunken sushi conveyer belt and mini Ellis Island. Small Fortune averaged a little under 1.5 million viewers per episode.
Pitch Perfect star Rebel Wilson hosted a dog grooming competition show called Pooch Perfect on ABC. Contestants would try and win a giant cash prize.
The celebrity judges included Lisa Vanderpump, Jorge Bendersky, and Dr. Callie Harris. After being one of the network’s lowest-rated shows of 2021, it will not be moving forward with another season.
After six seasons on CBS, the legal drama Bull will not be returning in 2022. The series followed the employees at a jury consulting firm, which is headed by a psychologist and trial-science expert named Dr. Jason Bull (Michael Weatherly).
Critics were fans of Weatherly’s performance, but thought the show relied too heavily on legal show tropes.
Bringing Up Bates
After the success of similar TLC family shows, UPtv decided to make Bringing Up Bates. The series will finally be ending after 10 seasons.
UPtv decided to cancel the show because the network wants to focus more on movies and scripted series for 2022. An eleventh season was filmed, but will not air.
Ellen’s Game Of Games
Not only is Ellen DeGeneres ending her hit daytime talk show, but she also decided not to return for a fifth season of Ellen’s Game of Games.
The game show featured larger-than-life and colorful versions of games that had previously been featured on her talk show with contestants competing for $100,000.
